ABC announced Friday it was delaying by one week the series premieres of its Sunday night dramas “Desperate Housewives” and “Boston Legal.” The shows, which were originally scheduled to premiere Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. (ET) respectively, will now premiere Oct. 3.

In addition the launch of the new teen drama “life as we know it” was pushed back two weeks from its original Thursday, Sept. 23 premiere. The Touchstone Television show will now premiere Thursday, Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. (ET).

A spokesperson for ABC the new dates were “just a schedule change.” “Desperate Housewives” recently announced a number of casting changes, but the spokesperson added that on all three shows “everything is fine production-wise, everyone’s meeting their deadlines.” “Desperate Housewives” is produced by Touchstone Television and “Boston Legal” is produced by David E. Kelley Productions in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television.
