As Hurricane Charley was bearing down Friday on the Florida Gulf Coast, AOL News said, its multi-source storm package was viewed more than 1 million times by AOL subscribers.
In addition, AOL logged nearly 350,000 broadband and dial-up live video streams of ABC News Now’s coverage of Charley. That means traffic levels for the 24-7 ABC News broadband-digital service were outpacing the service’s debut week during the Democratic National Convention, when interest peaked at 250,000 streams one night and added up to 1 million-plus unique streams during the week.#
