As expected, FX marketing executive Chris Carlisle has been hired as executive VP of marketing for Fox. He replaces recently departed Roberta Mell, who had the same title (TelevisionWeek, Aug. 9). Mr. Carlisle has been at FX since 1999, for the past two years as executive VP of marketing. Mr. Carlisle has done significant work in successfully launching shows such as “The Shield” and “Nip/Tuck,” and with the recent “Rescue Me,” which debuted to healthy summer viewer numbers.

Previously he worked at Warner Bros. as senior VP of worldwide creative advertising for the studio’s theatrical features. Before that he was VP of marketing for ABC Entertainment, and also worked at NBC in marketing.
