E! to Televise Primetime Creative Art Emmys

The 2004 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, held a week before the Primetime Emmys show on ABC, will be televised at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 on E! Entertainment Television. Producers are Michael Hoey, John Moffit and Spike Jones Jr.; Carole Propp is the talent producer.

The producers have lined up an impressive list of presenters, including Christina Applegate, John Cleese, fashion correspondent Steven Cojocaru, Eve, Edie Falco, Jennifer Garner, Brad Garrett, Felicity Huffman, Bonnie Hunt, Jane Kaczmarek, Anthony LaPaglia, William H. Macy, Rhona Mitra, Bob Newhart, Penn & Teller, William Shatner, Jeffrey Tambor and Bradley Whitford. “Nip/Tuck’s” Julian McMahon and Dylan Walsh will open the show.

The ceremony will take place Sunday, Sept. 12 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and will highlight more than 70 categories of awards, including outstanding guest actor/actress in a comedy series and outstanding guest actor/actress in a drama series. In addition, the evening will include the presentation of the Interactive Media Awards and the Engineering Awards, including the presentation of the Charles F. Jenkins Award to Les Paul, who developed the first multitrack recording device.
