Fox announced Thursday it has begun casting its newest reality series, “Hell’s Kitchen,” an “Apprentice”-like look at the world of high-end cuisine.

Based on the Granada Entertainment/A. Smith & Co. series from the United Kingdom, the series takes place inside chef Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant in Los Angeles. The restaurant will be staffed with a group of young culinary hopefuls who will be eliminated by the demanding Mr. Ramsay until there is only one contestant left. The remaining contestant gets his or her own restaurant.

“Hell’s Kitchen” begins production this summer and airs later this season. Paul Jackson and Arthur Smith will serve as executive producers.
