Craig Kilborn, who has been entertaining his fans with a “Countdown to Obscurity” this week, will bid bye-bye to “The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn” and CBS Aug. 27. Mr. Kilborn’s contract negotiations with CBS and David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants, which produces “Late Late,” ended abruptly when Mr. Kilborn gave two weeks’ notice that he was leaving in search of an opportunity to develop and produce projects.

CBS will extend to three weeks the previously scheduled hiatus that starts Aug. 30, and “Late Late” originals will return to the air with guest hosts starting Sept. 20.
