Gary Wordlaw has been named VP and general manager of WUPL-TV, the Viacom-owned UPN station in New Orleans. Anna Shreeve, the former sales and marketing executive from Belo-owned KING-TV, will move across town to succeed him as VP and general manager of KSTW-TV, Viacom’s UPN station in Seattle.

Mr. Wordlaw’s relocation to New Orleans, which he requested, sends recent WUPL VP and general manager Peter Uzelac to Viacom’s Dallas duopoly of KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV in a sales capacity.

“Anna brings to KSTW 20 years of experience in the Seattle market, in both the sales and marketing side. She’s consistently demonstrated herself to be a first-class television executive — someone who knows the market like few others and who can close the deal,” said Dennis Swanson, executive VP and chief operating officer of the Viacom Television Stations Group. “We’re extremely proud to welcome her to the Viacom family, and we’re very happy to have had the opportunity to keep Gary Wordlaw with the company. His new position in New Orleans will allow him to be closer to his family while continuing his impressive work with our station group.”
