Nielsen Media Research has signed on media agency ZenithOptimedia Group, New York, as the first client for its product placement measuring service, Place*Views. The Web-based application will provide brand and product information that appears in television programming. Place*Views will show which brands are being used, the type of placement, as well as the time and place the product placement has run. Audience size and demographic composition will be included. Place*Views data has just become available for the 2003-04 broadcast season.
