Emmy and Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth has joined the cast of “Law & Order: Trial by Jury,” the latest Wolf Films spinoff for NBC.

Ms. Neuwirth stars as Tracy Kibre, a Manhattan assistant district attorney, in the latest “Law & Order” branded series from creator Dick Wolf. Ms. Neuwirth joins actor Jerry Orbach, who is transitioning from the original “Law & Order,” and Fred Thompson, who expands his role as D.A. Arthur Branch on the new series.

This is not Ms. Neuwirth’s first collaboration with Wolf Films. She was a series regular in the short-lived “Deadline” in 2000.

Ms. Neuwirth portrayed Lilith Sternin-Crane on “Cheers” from 1986-93, where she won two Emmy Awards as outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series. She has also earned Tony Awards as best supporting actress in a musical for “Sweet Charity” in 1986 and as best actress in a musical for “Chicago” in 1997.

Dick Wolf, Walon Green and Peter Jankowski are the executive producers of “Law & order: Trial by Jury” and Richard Pearce is a co-executive producer.
