New York Times Names New Broadcast Group President

New York Times Co. on Friday named Robert Eoff as president of the newspaper group’s television station division. The appointment is effective immediately.

Mr. Eoff was elevated to the new position after the previous president, Cynthia Augustine, on Monday left the company to become senior VP of talent management at Time Warner.

Mr. Eoff, 55, was most recently a divisional VP, a position he’d held since 1999, and also served as president and general manager of WREG-TV, the company’s CBS affiliate in Memphis, Tenn.. Before that he spent eight years at KFSM-TV, the company’s CBS affiliate in Fort Smith/Fayetteville, Ark. Mr. Eoff started his career in television at WREG in 1969.
