Tassler Gets Jewish Television Network Award

Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, will be honored by the Jewish Television Network at its 2004 Vision Award Dinner Tuesday Oct. 24 at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills. Ms. Tassler is the 11th recipient of this award. Past recipients include former Paramount Television Productions President Garry Hart, NBC Universal’s David Kissinger and producer Caryn Mandabach.

Actress Geena Davis will present Ms. Tassler with the award, and Emmy-Award winner and current CBS sitcom star Jason Alexander will serve as master of ceremonies. Honorary chairs for the event include Leslie Moonves, co-president and co-chief operating officer of Viacom and chairman of CBS, and Nancy Tellem, president, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group. Co-chairs include Jerry Bruckheimer, Gavin de Becker, Denise Di Novi, Robert Greenblatt, Garry Hart, John Kimble, David Kissinger, Gary Newman, Bruce Ramer and John Wells.

Jewish Television Network is a not-for-profit producer whose series and specials are broadcast nationally on public television. The 2004 Vision Award Dinner will support the production of “Exodus and Freedom,” a one-hour PBS special scheduled for April 2005. “Exodus and Freedom” will tell eight contemporary “exodus” stories, including profiles of a former slave in the Sudan, a wrongfully convicted death row inmate and China’s longest-serving female political prisoner.
