ABCNews.com Gets Makeover

ABCNews.com has received a makeover that includes searches powered by Google, more headlines displayed on the home page, an expanded “ABC News On Demand” video section (and one free video clip per day), and an advertising plan that is designed to adapt to market demands.

“ABCNews.com is designed for a richer, more user-friendly experience, from faster search to more direct links to viewers’ favorite programs,” said Randy Stearns, executive producer for ABCNews.com.

An on-line marketing campaign is to be launched shortly for the revamped site, which though down year to year in traffic was in the black last year and exceeded its ad revenue goals for fiscal 2004 by 7 percent, according to an ABC News spokeswoman.
