After reviews that ranged from a flattering 3-out-of-4 stars in USA Today to an “F” in Entertainment Weekly, the explicit new Comedy Central animated series “Drawn Together” drew 2.2 million viewers. That’s down from its lead-in, the season premiere of “South Park,” which was seen by 2.9 million viewers. But the numbers are a 58 percent time-slot increase in key demographics over recent weeks of “Reno 911!” and “Chappelle’s Show” reruns.
The network touted the overnights as the “highest-rated premiere for an animated reality series in television history.”
“Drawn Together” is about a group of animated characters living together on a “Big Brother”-style reality show.
