Hilary Named President, CEO of BBC America

Former Comedy Central general manager Bill Hilary has been named president and CEO of BBC America. He will be responsible for the development and operations of BBC America, including bbcamerica.com and BBC America on Demand, and for any other digital channels and services associated with the future growth of the brand. Mr. Hilary succeeds Paul Lee, who is now running ABC Family. Jo Petherbridge, who was interim head of BBC America, resumes her previous responsibilities as senior VP-strategy and communications at the channel.
