News Corp. has promoted Maureen O’Connell to senior VP of regulatory and government affairs. She joined the company in June 1996 as VP of regulatory and government affairs after serving as legal adviser to Commissioner James H. Quello at the Federal Communications Commission. Ms. O’Connell, 45, will continue to report to Michael Regan, executive VP of government affairs.
