Emmy-winning production executive Michael Weisbarth died Oct. 11 after a long illness. He was 61.

His positions in the television industry included president of Fireworks Television, head of West Coast drama programming for A&E, president of Alliance Television and CEO of Coastline Productions. He produced programs such as “Lonesome Dove” and “Motown Returns to the Apollo.”

Donations in his memory may be made to the Tower Cancer Research Foundation in Beverly Hills.
