DirecTV Group, in a bid to continue the momentum of its successful partnerships with telephone companies, on Monday struck an agreement with Cincinnati Bell to offer consumers a bundled package of voice, data and video services.

The package, which is similar to deals DirecTV has with Verizon Communications and BellSouth, will combine Cincinnati Bell’s voice and data service with DirecTV’s video service in a bundle that will take on similar packages being offered by cable operators.

Cincinnati Bell’s customers are in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

These types of alliances have proven successful for DirecTV. In the third quarter alone, the company added 484,000 new customers from its relationships with the telephone companies-about half of the total number of new adds in the quarter.
