Disney Channel has ordered a second season of “Phil of the Future,” a comedy series about a teenager from the year 2121 whose family is stuck in the present day. Michael Curtis (“Friends”) and Roger S.H. Schulman (“Shrek”) will join the series as executive producers and Ivan Menchell (“The Nanny”) will serve as a co-executive producer.

“In just four months, our viewer response to the series, and especially its rising young stars, has been enormous,” said Gary Marsh, executive VP of original programming and production, Disney Channel.

The series also airs on ABC during its Saturday morning lineup.
