MSG Networks and Time Warner Cable reached an interim agreement Monday extending their current carriage arrangements for MSG Network, Fox Sports Net New York and the MetroChannels through Jan. 20. New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer assisted the parties in reaching the temporary agreement. The interim pact will keep the sports networks on all Time Warner Cable customers’ channel lineups in the New York City area and upstate New York. The MetroChannels will continue to be available to New York City area customers. The companies hope to reach a long-term agreement during this extended negotiating time frame. They have no further comment at this time.
