Colin Farrell, whose tendency to use language not suitable for broadcast networks had kept censors’ bleeping fingers busy as he made his recent TV rounds promoting “Alexander,” uttered the S-word during his last seconds as guest host of “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend.

With the assembled “SNL” cast and guests, including surprise visitor Lindsay Lohan, surrounding him on stage, an effusive Mr. Farrell said his guest-host gig had presented him with one of the best weeks of his life, “I s*** you not.”

A spokesman for “SNL,” which does not use delays to compensate for dicey language, said he had received no questions about the incident until asked by TelevisionWeek on Monday.

The spokesman said the expletive was deleted from repeats of the Dec. 11 telecast in later time zones.
