San Francisco’s KRON-TV Adding More News, Renews ‘Dr. Phil’

KRON-TV in San Francisco is adding more news to its weekday lineup. Beginning the week of Jan. 3, KRON-TV will add 90 minutes of news programming to the lineup.

“KRON 4 Morning News” will add an additional 60 minutes to its broadcast, airing from 6-10 a.m. In addition, the station will launch “News at 4 p.m.,” a 30-minute show hosted by Brian Hackney and Catherine Heenan.

The Young Broadcasting-owned station also announced it is renewing King World’s “Dr. Phil” through September 2009. KRON will continue to air the primary run at 8 p.m. and will air the secondary run at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
