‘Danza’ Renewed in Detroit, Indianapolis

Buena Vista’s rookie talk strip “The Tony Danza Show” has received a second season on Post-Newsweek’s NBC affiliate WDIV-TV in Detroit and LIN Television’s CBS affiliate WISH-TV in Indianapolis. The show will remain in its 11 a.m. and 10 a.m. time slots, respectively, in those markets.

Additionally, Granite Broadcasting’s NBC affiliate WEEK-TV in Peoria-Bloomington, Ill., will begin airing “Danza” in fall 2005. LIN ABC affiliate WAND-TV in Champaign-Springfield-Decatur, Ill., will begin airing “Danza” later this season, replacing “The Jane Pauley Show” at 3 p.m. “Danza” currently airs on Fox affiliate WRSP-TV at 8 a.m. in that market.

For fall 2006, LIN’s CBS affiliate WIVB-TV in Buffalo, N.Y., will replace current 10 a.m. time slot holder “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” with “Danza.” Currently “Danza” airs on NBC affiliate WGRZ-TV at 11 a.m. in Buffalo.
