NBC News has assigned Emmy-winning correspondents Kevin Corke and Tom Costello to its bureau in Washington, effective immediately. Veterans Fred Francis and Robert Hager retired from that office last year. Mr. Corke will be a general assignment correspondent. Mr. Costello’s primary assignment will be the transportation beat. Mr. Corke joined NBC News in 2004 after anchoring and producing at ESPN for five years. Mr. Costello was named a New York-based correspondent for NBC News last April after reporting for CNBC for seven years.
