Pax TV President Bill Scott will depart to pursue other interests, the company said Thursday.

Mr. Scott, who helped launch the Paxson Communications-controlled broadcast network in 1998, will leave by March 5, but will remain a consultant.

Pax has struggled to find an audience since its inception as a family-friendly network. In recent seasons the network has teamed with programming executives at NBC to help jump-start the network, but has met with minimal success.
