British television personality Tim Vincent has been named New York correspondent for the syndicated entertainment newsmagazine “Access Hollywood,” filling the position left open when former correspondent Billy Bush was promoted to co-anchor. The announcement was made Monday by Rob Silverstein, executive producer of the show.

Mr. Vincent began his broadcasting career as the youngest-ever presenter on “Blue Peter,” a BBC children’s program. He moved to BBC 1’s “The Clothes Show” for two years while also hosting three seasons of the network’s “Short Change.”

In 2003 Mr. Vincent was chosen to host “Access Hollywood UK,” NBC’s British version of “Access Hollywood,” which also aired on Living TV. From here Mr. Vincent took on the position of special correspondent for the U.S. version of the show. He recently moved to New York.

“Access Hollywood” is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution.
