NBC has added consultants to the creative team behind its planned miniseries chronicling the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The network has added consultants and authors Peter Lance (“1,000 Years for Revenge: International Terrorism and the FBI-the Untold Story.”) and Steve Coll (“Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001”). Television writer Fred Golan (“Law & Order: Trial by Jury”) will also consult. In addition, The New York Times will serve as a consultant by allowing access to its highly acclaimed “Portraits of Grief” series, which profiled every victim of the attacks the newspaper could identify.

NBC previously announced Graham Yost (“From Earth to the Moon,” “Boomtown”) will write and Brian Grazer, Ron Howard and David Nevins will executive produce the miniseries. NBC Universal Television Studio, Imagine Television and Twentieth Television will produce. No casting, production schedules or airdates have been announced.
