ABC announced Thursday that it is picking up its reality home renovation series “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” for a third season.

The series joins the four dramas–“Alias,” “Boston Legal,” “Desperate Housewives” and “Lost”–that ABC has already picked up for the 2005-06 season.

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” is produced by Endemol USA. Tom Forman is the executive producer.
