ABC announced Friday its new medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” will continue airing Sundays at 10 p.m. (ET) through the end of the season, permanently replacing the pre-empted rookie drama “Boston Legal,” which has been picked up for next season. No time period has been set for “Legal,” which will have the remainder of its unaired original episodes from this season run in 2005-06.

For “Anatomy,” Shonda Rhimes is creator and executive producer and Mark Gordon, Betsy Beers and Jim Parriott are executive producers. “Anatomy” is from ABC’s corporate cousin Touchstone Television Production.
