ESPN Extends Agreement to Cover Australian Open

ESPN on Tuesday said it reached a new multiyear agreement with Tennis Australia to extend ESPN’s exclusive coverage of the Australian Open. The new agreement begins in 2007. ESPN has held the TV rights to the Australian Open since 1984. The new agreement also calls for coverage on ESPN Deportes, the broadband service ESPN 360, the ESPN Mobile cellphone service and video highlights on ESPN.com.
