NBC Universal has promoted Jennifer Skorlich to senior VP of NBC Universal Cable Publicity and late-night publicity for NBC.

The announcement was made Monday by Rebecca Marks, executive VP of NBC Universal television publicity, and Jeff Gaspin, president of NBC Universal cable entertainment and cross-network strategy.

Ms. Skorlich, who had been VP in the same capacity since July 2004, will continue to oversee the company’s cable entertainment publicity. She previously was VP of Bravo publicity, alternative series and late night publicity for NBC Entertainment, where she was assigned duties in NBC’s alternative programs and late-night areas. In the past two years she managed Bravo’s campaign for “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” She also guided the integration of Bravo into NBC Universal.

Ms. Skorlich manages a team of publicists on both coasts who promote the network’s late-night programming, including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Saturday Night Live” and “Last Call with Carson Daly.”

A former VP of NBC publicity, nonprime-time programming, long form, specials and alternative programs, Ms. Skorlich began at NBC in 1992 as a press manager for late night and corporate information. She was the publicist for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” for seven years. She started her career in television at KPIX-TV in San Francisco and also worked at KCAL-TV in Los Angeles before joining NBC.
