Sundance Channel has acquired the rights to the Canadian comedy series “Slings and Arrows,” a behind-the-scenes look at a Shakespeare theater festival.

The rights include the first two seasons (six episodes each) and an as-yet-unproduced third season.

The show is written by Bob Martin, Susan Coyne and “Kids In The Hall” veteran Mark McKinney and will make its Sundance premiere in August.
