TelevisionWeek Unveils Agenda for Fifth Annual Upfront Summit

TelevisionWeek has announced the agenda and panelists for its annual Upfront Summit, presented in association with Advertising Age, to be held April 28 at the Grand Hyatt in New York.

Beginning with breakfast at 8 a.m., the presentations begin at 9 with “Forces of Change.” A group of panelists, including Miller Brewing Co.’s Bob Brennan, Comcast’s Dave Cassaro, ESPN/ABC Sports’ Ed Erhardt and MSN Video’s Todd Herman, will explore the evolving world of broadcasting and beyond. Moderated by TVWeek publisher Chuck Ross, the panel will focus on emerging technologies such as video-on-demand, digital video recorders, branded integration and broadband.

At 10 a.m., “The Future of the Upfront” panel will concentrate on what lies in store for this year’s crucial upfront season. The moderator will be Advertising Age Editor Scott Donaton, and panelists include Discovery’s Joe Abruzzese, Court TV’s Charlie Collier, MediaCom’s Jon Mandel, Rainbow Media’s Arlene Manos and Fox Broadcasting’s Jon Nesvig.

The final session begins at 11 a.m. and focuses on the hot topics surrounding this year’s upfront. TVWeek Editor Alex Ben Block will serve as moderator to a panel that includes MTV Networks’ Larry Divney, Univision’s Tom McGarrity, Tribune Syndication’s Clark Morehouse and ABC Networks’ Mike Shaw.

Now in its fifth year, the TVWeek/Advertising Age Upfront Summit is viewed by television advertising professionals as the most important meeting to attend to prepare for the upfront season.
