The network’s fall schedule includes 11 original returning and debuting comedies plus a half-hour of committed animated repeats, double the number of comedies on either ABC, CBS or NBC, which have larger schedules.

The Sunday comedies “Bernie Mac” and “Malcolm in the Middle” will take over the 8 p.m. hour block on Fridays, followed by Regency TV’s detective drama “The Gate” at 9 p.m.
