Fox has ordered a third full season of its Emmy Award-winning but ratings-challenged single-camera comedy series “Arrested Development.” Peter Liguori, president of entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Co., made the announcement Monday.

“It’s my first official pickup since taking the job,” Mr. Liguori said in a press release, “and I think it’s a great way to start.”

“Arrested” is produced by Imagine Television and 20th Century Fox Television. Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, David Nevins and Mitch Hurwitz are executive producers.
