ABC News, Disney Online and ESPN.com announced Tuesday that their free audio podcast content now is available via the extensive iTunes Podcast Directory. Users can subscribe to this content, among other podcasts, and iTunes will automatically download new episodes into subscribers’ computers and iPods.

ABC News podcast content includes “The AfterNote” (an afternoon edition of ABC News’ political newsletter), daily highlights of “Nightline,” a daily “Showbiz Report,” a mix of news headlines, and “ABC News Exclusiva” (English- and Spanish-language news wraps of topics relevant to the Hispanic community).

ESPN.com soon plans to expand its podcast offerings, which currently include ESPN Radio Daily and excerpts from ESPN’s radio commentaries.

Additional podcast content from The Walt Disney Co. scheduled to launch on iTunes in July includes “Ebert and Roeper” movie reviews, Radio Disney music news, local audio content from ABC-owned TV stations, and SoapNet’s “One Minute Soap.”
