Barry Jossen has been promoted to executive VP of production for Touchstone Television. Mr. Jossen will continue to oversee production of Touchstone’s original programming, including series, pilots, late-night, variety, made-for-television movies and miniseries.

Touchstone President Mark Pedowitz, to whom he reports, announced the promotion Wednesday.

Mr. Jossen joined Touchstone in July 2002 as senior VP of production. For the 2004-05 season, his department managed production on a number of series, including ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” “Lost” and “Grey’s Anatomy.” For the 2005-06 season, Mr. Jossen will oversee a production slate of 11 dramas and seven comedies on ABC, CBS and NBC, as well as continued production on the late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Prior to joining Touchstone Television, Mr. Jossen served as executive consultant for Imagine Television, where he oversaw production of “24,” “Felicity” and “Sports Night.” He also worked with Darren Star as co-executive producer for the launch of HBO’s “Sex and the City.”

Mr. Jossen previously worked for DreamWorks Television as head of television production and ran Lucasfilm’s television division. He started his career as director of production and administration at Telepictures Productions.
