Amy Hartwick has joined ABC as VP, comedy development. She will report to Stephanie Leifer, senior VP in the department.

Before coming to ABC, Ms. Hartwick was director of comedy at 20th Century Fox Television, where she most recently was part of the team that developed NBC’s fall 2005 comedy “My Name Is Earl.”

She also helped develop ABC’s “Jake in Progress” and 20th’s first reality shows, Fox’s “The Simple Life” and “Simple Life 2: Road Trip.” Ms. Hartwick joined 20th Century Fox as a manager of comedy in 2001. She previously worked at New Line Cinema and NBC Studios.
