Frances Manfredi has been named senior VP and general sales manager, cable and non-theatrical sales, at NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. The announcement was made Wednesday by Barry Wallach, president of NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, to whom she will report.

Ms. Manfredi, who is based in New York, will oversee all cable, airline and non-theatrical sales for the company. Since last May, she has served as senior VP of cable sales, overseeing day-to-day cable sales activities for the division. She licensed a handful of NBC prime-time series to major cable networks, including recent deals for “Las Vegas,” “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

Before joining NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, Ms. Manfredi served as senior VP of cable sales for NBC Enterprises, where she launched a cable sales unit for the newly established distribution area of NBC. Before joining NBC, she worked at CBS, where she held several posts, including VP of domestic cable sales and special markets. Ms. Manfredi replaces Arthur Hasson, who left the company last Friday.
