VH1 will launch on Thursday a broadband entertainment network called VSpot, the network said Wednesday.

VH1 will premiere the first episode of “The Surreal Life 5” on VSpot at its launch — three days before the series premieres on the cable channel. VSpot will be divided into three channels with original and exclusive music and pop culture programming. The shows channel will feature interviews and behind-the-scenes clips from TV shows, including “Hogan Knows Best” and “Celebrity Fit Club 2.” The music channel will include previously unaired performances by Alanis Morissette and interviews and features from several popular musicians. The movies channel features celebrity interviews, movie clips and trailers.

Meanwhile, Nickelodeon has also launched a broadband site called TurboNick that allows users to watch full-length episodes of Nickelodeon shows. Some shows, including “Catscratch,” will premiere on the site.

Since its soft launch July 1, it has generated more than 1.25 million video streams, the network said. Nickelodeon plans to officially launch TurboNick on July 17 with an advertising and promotional campaign.
