Comedian and sitcom star George Lopez will host the Creative Arts Emmy Awards Sept. 11 at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

“George is one of today’s funniest and most talented television performers,” said Spike Jones Jr., one of the show’s producers. “He will keep the show moving quickly with his unique brand of humor and we’re all looking forward to working with him.”

Mr. Lopez is the co-creator and star of the ABC sitcom “George Lopez” and was one of several comedians who hosted the 2003 Emmy Awards.
