National Geographic Channel broke a 2.0 rating for the first time with its miniseries “Inside 9/11.” Parts 1 and 2 of the show ran Aug. 21 and 22 and earned a 2.5 and a 3.6 household rating, respectively.
The Sunday night numbers landed NGC among the top three cable networks in prime time for the first time.
“Our network is less than 5 years old and has produced thousands of hours of programming, but ‘Inside 9/11’ may be the most important four hours we’ve ever produced,” NGC President Laureen Ong said.
