Kevin Applegate is joining Telepictures’ debuting fall talk strip “The Tyra Banks Show” as an executive producer, replacing Kerrie Moriarity, who was named to the position only several weeks ago (TelevisionWeek, June 27).

Mr. Applegate, who most recently served as executive producer on Telepictures’ talk strip “The Larry Elder Show,” has a 13-year track record with Telepictures, a division of Time Warner, working as a supervising producer on “The Sharon Osbourne Show” and “Change of Heart” as well as serving on the production staff of “Jenny Jones.”

Mr. Applegate will work in conjunction with John Redmann, who joined “Tyra” on Aug. 1. Mr. Redmann, who produced Buena Vista’s “The Tony Danza Show” last season, is expected to focus on booking talent and musical guests. Mr. Applegate is expected to take over Ms. Moriarity’s responsibilities of producing issue-oriented segments.
