David Rone was named general manager of Fox College Sports, adding that responsibility to his current duties, Fox Sports Networks said Monday.

Mr. Rone’s new title will be executive VP of rights acquisitions and general manager, Fox College Sports. Mr. Rone succeeds David Nathanson, who becomes VP of business and operations for the Fox Reality Channel.

In his previous position Mr. Rone was already responsible for rights acquisitions for FCS and was involved in acquiring the Bowl Championship Series for Fox Broadcasting. He’s now also responsible for FCS’s day-to-day operations, including programming, scheduling, sales, finance, marketing, promotion and distribution.
