Cable and satellite operators are teaming up to present a pay-per-view concert that will benefit New Orleans relief and rebuilding efforts.

The telecast of “From the Big Apple to the Big Easy” will be carried to 80 million households reached by Adelphia, Cablevision, Charter, EchoStar’s DISH Network and DirecTV along with iN Demand partners Bright House Networks, Comcast, Cox Communications and Time Warner Cable. Organizers say 100 percent of the $19.95 purchase price will go directly to relief efforts.

The concert will be held Sept. 20 at New York’s Madison Square Garden and will feature performers including Bette Midler, Diana Krall, the Dixie Cups, Elvis Costello, Jimmy Buffett, John Fogerty, Lenny Kravitz, Ry Cooder, Simon & Garfunkel, Allen Toussaint and Buckwheat Zydeco.
