Gallup Poll Indicates Improved Public Confidence in Mass Media

The public trust in mass media has perked up a little since last year, according to the annual Gallup Poll governance survey, but only 50 percent of Americans are confident that the mass media can be trusted to report the news fully, accurately and fairly, according to a Gallup Tuesday Briefing analysis.

Forty-four percent of those polled a year ago said they had a great deal or a fair amount of trust in the mass media.
