NBCU, Broadway Renew Pact

NBC Universal Television Studio renewed its prime-time production agreement with producer Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video Television last week, according to an announcement by Angela Bromstad, president of NBC Universal Television Studio.

Broadway Video is producer of the upcoming series “Thick and Thin” for NBC and “Sons & Daughters” for ABC. NBC also ordered an untitled comedy pilot created by and starring Tina Fey (“Saturday Night Live”).

Ms. Bromstad also announced that JoAnn Alfano has signed a new multiyear agreement as president of Los Angeles-based Broadway Video Television, and that Andrew Singer has been promoted to the new position of VP of television for the company.

Mr. Singer, previously director of development for Broadway Video Television, will be responsible for the development and production of prime-time series projects. This season he served as producer on the pilots of “Sons & Daughters” and “The Weekend.” He will continue as producer for “Sons & Daughters.”
