The National Cable & Telecommunications Association has formed the Cable Hope Fund to benefit cable industry employees and others affected by Hurricane Katrina.

The fund will be directed at aiding the long-term rebuilding of damaged areas.

Time Warner Cable’s Glenn Britt, MTV Networks’ Judy McGrath, A&E’s Abbe Raven, Cox’s Jim Robbins, Comcast’s Brian Roberts, Court TV’s Henry Schleiff and Insight Communications’ Michael Willner will serve as co-chairs of the fund.
