Verizon Communications announced Wednesday that it has signed carriage agreements with four cable networks, as the company continues to build a roster of channels to be carried by its FiOS TV service.

Verizon said it struck deals with Lifetime Television, shopping network HSN, Jewelry Television and Ovation — The Art Network. All of the deals were inked before Verizon made its FiOS service available to consumers in Keller, Texas, the first market Verizon began selling its TV service. No financial terms were disclosed.

The deal comes on the heels of Verizon receiving approval by the Fairfax County, Va., board of supervisors to offer the FiOS service to residents in that suburban Washington community. Verizon said the Fairfax agreement, which covers 351,000 households, is its largest to date.
