Fox Television Stations announced Monday that the group has hired Lew Leone as VP and general manager of its two New York owned-and-operated television stations, Fox station WNYW-TV and UPN station WWOR.

Mr. Leone replaces Jim Clayton at WNYW and fills a slot at WWOR that had been vacant for a few months. He reports to Jack Abernethy, CEO of Fox Television Stations.

Mr. Leone came to Fox from WCBS-TV, where he had been president and general manager since July 2002. Before that, he was VP of sales at WNBC-TV. He also did a stint at NBC as VP of sports and Olympic sales, and before that served as an account executive of sports sales at ABC Sports.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Leone held sales positions at ABC National Sales and WABC-TV.
