Sundance Channel has ordered a six-episode documentary series going behind the scenes of congressional politics. “The Hill,” from Roland Park Pictures, will follow the lives of Capitol Hill staffers working for Rep. Robert Wexler, D-Fla.
“In a sense, this series is a cross between ‘The West Wing’ and ‘The War Room,'” said Laura Michalchyshyn, executive VP of programming and marketing for Sundance Channel.
The cable network also acquired a new show, “The Nominees,” an Australian mockumentary series starring comic Chris Lilley about a search for the “Australian of the Year.” Six episodes are included in the order.
